please help me. i need to burn the path of neo.i have swap magic 3.6(slide tool), dvd decrypter and nero7, i am burning onto verbatim 8x at x4 speed and can`t get it to work. first try the game loaded to the point where the data is rolling down the screen, but nothing else after that. the backups also don`t work on other ps2`s. i am now making to many electric pancakes help please.

I have succesfully Backed up a PAL Path of neo.
All that is required is a Rebuild of the game. Thats it. You will need at least 15gb of Space on your hard drive, and use Gnies, Automatic Rebuilder program. Its a 4 step process to rebuild, all by clicking 1 button, extremely easy and automated.
once its rebuilt and burnt it will run perfectly :D

Yeh mine also copied with no prob, i used Alcohol 120% if that will help but mine was PAL and i used maxell- relly gud media to use

i`ve herd of gnie before, but hav`nt been able to find it yet!!what program do you use oakley?, i also hav`nt got alkohol yet!! any idea of the cost of these two?. ps my ps2 is also `pal` and after decrypting the game with dvddecrypter the file size is 4.6, so it is`nt to large for the discs, and i presumed it would`nt need to be rebuilt. i`m confused, what do ya think i should do?

I have sucessfully made a copy of this game, Use what you got.. Don't buy anything else... DVD Decryptor is just fine for a straight copy... just put the game in, go to DVD Decryptor > Mode > ISO > Read, then let it copy to your HD, then when its finished, insert a blank DVD & go to Mode > ISO > Write, and let it burn at a 4x burn speed, after its done it should play just fine...
P.S. - Dont use POOR media... It really counts....

thanks cj2087, thats exactly what i did (many Coaster making times)but have had no joy at all. my burner is only 6 months old and i have been told that it is a good one, so i don`t think thats the prob either.everything else i`ve done has worked fine cd`s, dvd`s and even games that other people have had problems with, but this one has proven to be my nemesis. and the `path i walk` at present is a sad and confused one. i need an exit. help

I rebuilt mines onto an 8x verbatim DVD-R at 4x. Make sure those Verbatim DVDs are not fake, that they are authentic and rebuild it, you can find out by looking at my- Games stuttering and skipping or not booting up at all? link in my sig.

Ok, those Verbatim discs look authentic. "MCC 02RG20" is a correct tag for verbatim.
Ok, you will have to rebuild it, you can find out by looking at my- Games stuttering and skipping or not booting up at all? link in my sig.

allready checked out your link (excellent work) but i don`t have cd/dvd gen. when i tried to download it fom your link an error page came up saying systems error could not open nfo file. file corrupt.hmmm! stezag says to use gnie but i don`t have that either.any sugestions to put me on the right path?.

Gnie has a link to his Expert tool in his signature, But it takes you to his posts in the alucard forums, which you will have to sign up for if you want to download attachments.
Its an excellent easy to use tool that is literally just 4 clicks to rebuild the game.
as long as oyu have about 15gb spare that is lol. i had tons of stuff and junk i had to delete to make room first.

many thanks to all concerned. sorry about not replying i`ve just been on hol, i now have all the tools to do the job(thanks guys) but it still does`nt work. i`ve tried EVERTHING that has been sugested ,rebuiling,straight copy, gnei 4 step process, cd/dvd gen, vebatims, sony`s, tdk`s etc etc etc. Still no joy(sob sob, i might way my electric pancakes in, theres a lot of them)and this is the ONLY game that has done this to me. anyway, thanks for everybodies help, i gues i`ll just have to hope my origional does`nt get damaged.ps if theres any futer developements please post here as i all check my old threads (curiosity). ooh i here a phone ringing, time for me to get out of.........................

Could be your burner or an internal error with the PS2, as it definetly works on a rebuild onto high quality media.
Sounds like your laser may be dying, does it load originals?

i`m on the same page mik3h, i also thought that it might be the laser.
it loads origionals no probs, loads 99.9% of backups with no prob, but, it seems to be noisier than others and on ocations sounds like its strugling to read. how can i tellif it is, and can it be cleaned or fixed cheeply(please say yes). the only other thing is that my friends experience the same problem with the same game (copying, playing). i used gnei expert four step precess, and burned onto verbatim x8 with, DVD Decrypter and others boobooman.

A normal rebuild is all that is needed, lasers are usually around £30 to replace the diode from local shop, but if you try doing it yourself, you may damage the unit costing a lot more.
