why dont you see if a nursing home could use it. Many seniors have no way to comunicate other then writing a letter to friends and family who may live across the country. This could be a great way for them to send email and learn something about a computer. just a thought.

As rab48124 said check at senior centers and nursing homes. A lot of the seniors like just playing games such as solitare and the like. Speaking from experience, since I work in a senior center and put together old computers for that purpose. Especially for seniors that can't afford to do much and gives them a cheap past time. Chris

if ur not going to donate it then install a game or program to it that will use up 100% of ur CPU. Then make shure its unpluged and put some gasoline in a spray bottle and spray a mist of gass all over the board inside and take the heat sync off the cpu. plug it in and start the program u installed and sit back and watch :)

I agree with donating it to a nursing home. Also, you may find underpriviledge kids in your community that would appreciate an older computer to do their homework on.

But why not donate it? You've got 3 options. 1) Destroy it. But what is the reasoning to doing that if it works? Thus, 2) Donate it. If someone can use it for the simple things already mentioned then do so. 3) Part it out.

There are no more ideas. The ones posted are already the best you can get, besides burning it. That would NOT be a good idea. Not only will you produce highly toxic smoke, but the majority of electronic components in fires explode which can cause other damage, other fires...and even personal injury.
Either donate that box as well, or turn it into an experimental machine for older operating systems, or different flavors of Linux and it's distros.
