aight so i leave my computer on for long periods of time (eg. 2-5 days). so i went to school, i come back from school. check my computer, and one of my hard drives has disappeared from 'My Computer'.
I run P4 3.0GHz and Windows XP.
I have 3 hard drives:

SATA 80GB Seagate (2 partitions) - C: (19.5GB) / D: (54.9GB)
SATA 80GB Seagate - H:
IDE 120GB WD - K:

My H: has disappeared...!

Okay, so i checked Device Manager, and there hard drive was not there.

That hard drive was originally called '80GB ( H: )'

So i Restarted. this is what happens now:

When i opened up 'My Computer'. I see that its there! But its not named '80GB ( H: )', instead its named 'Local Disk ( H: )'. WHen i double-click it, for a while it freezes, 'My Computer' is not responding. then after like 30 seconds, i get this message:

I always choose 'No'.

i need to get all my stuff back from the hardrive, i have like 60+ gb of stuff i need, including important documents. Can someone tell me what has happened? how can i get all of it back?

Hey head over and right click my computer and go to manage and then go down to the bottom of the list on the right and go to disk management. see if your hd is in their. worst comes to worse you may try and get like symantec program to recover your hd and then wipe it
