I'm planning to backup this game and I have a few questions.

1. I'm planning to play this game online and I'm wondering how I would go about this. A tutorial of some kind would help.

2. The one I have is the PAL version. Do I need to convert it to NTSC to play it on my PS2? I'm going to be using Swap Magic 3.6. If I do could someone please explain to me the process in great detail.

In order to play it online, you will either have to have an NTSC version of the game, or get a console id changer to switch your system to NTSC (not sure if that would suffice, either way).

Otherwise, just go about it normal and when you get your iso file, patch it with the DNA$.

I've heard that I could change the game to NTSC. I'm asking for the fear of the video mode not being right. I was just reading another thread about not being able to play online outside of my region or something? Could someone explain this to me?

You can patch it with PAL2NTSC and adjust the Y-fix, allowing you to see the entire screen when you play it, but it will still be a PAL game.

And what you were reading about not being able to play outside your region is correct. So, you would need the NTSC game in order to play it online....or try the console id changer. I've never tried the id changer, so I can't comment on it; however, if you do try it, make sure to write down the id numbers so that you are able to change it back.

Oh, ok that's all I needed to know. Swap Magic is able to play PAL games and games from Japan right.

Yep, just switch the video mode to the necessary choice.
