Hello Lethal,
I've just recieved a new color ipod and am really enjoying it.
My one HUGE complaint is that it is apparently incapable of gapless playback. I have many hours of live recordings and the gaps madden me to the point where i cannot enjoy the music. Apple has apparently ignored pleas for a firmware upgrade in this area. I think we need a brilliant codr to fix this problem!!!!

It's not really a problem for me, but I can see how it could be a problem for others. I agree, it is kind of annoying having to wait nearly 5 seconds on some songs to listen to them.

The waiting is not the point,it's only momentary, a split second, 2 seconds at most. It's the break in the flow of the sounds of a concert.
Someone help, please!!

Hehe. I have dabbled with the iPod's firmware out of interest, but not to this extent ;-)

You are best off merging the tracks into one single file which will allow 'gapless playback', although without the navigational ability of being able to skip tracks.

Yes,I have no doubt that it is challenging at best.
I'll continue with my wishful thinking.

I shall continue modding firmware, but I wouldn't hold your breath on this one ;-)
