I've been holding out since I'm not sure if its worth the money and all the trouble to upgrade yet. Basically I use Nero for mp3 cds, Nero Recode and DVD+DL burning (which for some reason I have had better readability on DVD players than from burning with DVD decrypter). Have any of those three been significantly improved so that it is actually worth buying? (I'm especially curious about Recode since the author is the DVD shrink creator). Any help much appreciated.

I haven't bothered, I gave it a try and to be frank I wasn't impressed with it.(understatement but I'm feeling generous this morning) Don't like the new GUI and the startsmart thing IMHO is a pain in the ass..As is the Nero Home/Nero Showtime thing that screwed up all my dvd and media players by stealing all the media files..Unless you have any problems with Nero 6 I'd advise keeping hold of your cash for now...Download a trial version and see if you can get on with it...

I'm not impressed and it's not coming anywhere near my comp again!! It took days to get all the traces off my machine and everything back to normal... :( (I have been kind here.. If I posted what I really think..........)

@ janrocks, LOL, I had exactly the same sort of problems as you (and used the same language by the sound of it) and after a lot of stuffing around decided that 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it' and went back to V6.

V6.6.018 IMHO is the best so far - it still works with DVD Shrink and it does everything I want it to do without any of the bugs that plague V7.

I'll never go back to V7, no need to as far as I can see.
