hi, i've been burning dvds for quite some time now with very little problems... this past weekend i was burning consecutively all day long, and at some point it just wouldn't work anymore. IT fails after about 30 seconds. Here's my burn log:

Your Nero version is older than the hills, try 6.6.0.18 here:

Your serial key should allow the upgrade even if preinstalled on your puter.
The firmware for your burner is also a few revision behind, current version is B377 and be found here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_result.php?kaj=1&isces

You have almost no resources left to do anything, no multitasking!
Your discs are not being recognized by your drive so the Nero and firmware updates should take care of your problems...and don't forget about no multitasking, especially during the burn. You may also want to slow your burn speed down to 4X until you stop getting coasters and then you can step up the speed incrementally.

They're called VAKOSS... they're cheap and probably crappy, but i've used the exact same kind before, and burned an entire spindle with no problems

That is why el cheapo's aren't recommended...one day they are great the next day they are crapola. The quality is so varying that you don't know what you are really getting. If I had some money the gamble with, I'd bet if you tried some Verbatims or Taiyo Yudens, Fuji, Sony, Maxell...all made in Japan except the Verbatims...you'll see some successful burns coming out of your puter.
