Has this ever happened to anyone... My swap disk 3.6 works good for the first game I play, but then when I want to play another game and I try to put the boot disk in again the swap disk just keeps spinning and doesnt boot. I usually have to wait like 10 min or so. I've tried to unplug the ps2 or unplug the memory cards just to see if I can get it to boot, but it seems like waiting 10 minutes or longer sometimes is the only thing that works. Thanks..

You might have a bad press. If your discs are fairly new, contact the manufacturer and get a replacement for it.

Also, is your PS2 overheating? That would be something that could cause this. If this might be it, make sure that you put the PS2 in a ventilated area and not somewhere confined.

never had that problem myself.
I always just put it in standby, put in swap magic then started it and it would load right up.

Sometimes it will work fine for me to play games back to back. It seems to not load the magic disk if I have played a game for a while. It could be getting a little warm, but I keep the ps2 in an open area. Very strange. I may try to see if new swap disk will work. Also if I can find out what is causing it, then I will try to post the solution.

I have the exact same problem but sometimes the boot disc fucks up on first boot!

I think I might have a bad press cos the CD disc screws up as well sometimes.

I never have a problem loading swap magic itself because the image always appears and says start program... but sometimes the ps2 makes a LOT of noise when reading the SM boot disc.

Now I just listen out and if the ps2 makes more noise than usual while booting then I dont even bother swapping.. i just take it out and put it back in then reset.

It can take 3 -4 tries sometimes, its annoying.

I might get another copy of SM when I have more money.
