Confused a bit. Why did you have it on secondary in the first place?? Do you have a "primary" cd/dvd rom?? Why didn't you put the disk in that!...

Need a little more info on your system please.

Oops sorry.......i don't know what i was talking about.......

Ummm i have the CD-RW as Secondary Master
and my HDD as Primary Master and my DVD-R as Primary Slave....
But when i had to install Windows Xp on my Computer, i needed to make my CD-RW primary Master and my HDD Primary Slave so it could transfer the Files because it didn't have the drivers

Would it make my HDD slower if i make my HDD secondary Master?

I'd just plug it up with your HD on Primary set to master, and your DVD drive on secondary set to master, and your cd-rw on sescondary set to slave.
I've heard of MINOR speed increases in older systems run with the DVD rom and HD on the same channel, but these days the board is alot faster than the IDE interface, so running from secondary to primary wouldn't slow you down.

Ok thanks but so if i set my CD-RW on secondary slave i could install an OS on my HDD?

Because it needs drivers because it is EIDE ..It won't send files to the HDD unlees it has the driver........

Is it possible to hook my HDD up on Secondary without it being that much slower

If you already have your OS up and running, and you are wanting to dual boot another OS.. the drivers are already there.
