need help burning dvd backups with swapmagic 3.8

ok guys i just recentilly got all the stuff ineed to stuff backing up all my ps2 on a dvd-r and ive followed all the steps that everyone has given me about using dvd decriptor (iso read- write) and ill do everything that everyone tells me to and i go through the process with my slide card and swapmagic but when i swap the disc for the backup and run it i get the red screen( not a vaid ps2 disc deal). i mean im not a newbie to burning but ive never burnt ps2 games before can u guys help hers my specs:

Slide card
Swap magic 3 plus version 3.8
memorex and Verbatim 8x disc

cpu specs
windows xp
dvd decriptor
dvd shrink
plenty or ram and space on hard drive
tts corp. dvd-r writer(compaq) brand new computer just out of the box

what speed r u burning the disc at? try lower burning speed like 4x or 2x.

i do i burn the disc at half the speed of max buring speed if its like 8x i beurn it at like 4x or 4x,2x etc.

yeah, and make sure you're using the verbatim, memorex sucks for ps2 backups.

i agree, it is most likely the discs.
Listing the games you are trying to back up would also help in case they are games that need to be rebuilt or patched to work with Swap Magic

and oh yeah ive been using memorex disc so i need to get like verabatim or media dont i? So does like memorex not work in ps2's? Is it cause there so cheap?

yes, Memosux uses cheap dye and most PS2's have a real problem with them. They are also not good for your laser life.
Verbatim are the choice of a lot of people and should be fine.
Not sure which type, i think i remember people talking about the
Datalife type. DVD-R 8X speed
Smackdown VS Raw is not a game that needs rebuilding, the other i do not have.

well today i recently switch to verbatim DVD-R disc and i tried burning the game again and it still didnt work and i burned it at like 2x. im like so confused
