Okay, I've really tried and tried to find the answers on my own. So I feel bad that this is a repeated problem I'm having.
After searching thru ur forums, I'm still confused as ever. There is a lot of information available here, but the more I continued to read and follow the links provided, I ended back where i started, at the beginning!
My problem:
I need to convert files in order to burn movies to disc. I'm a pro when it comes to music cd's. But all very new with the movies.
I have Nero 6. I DLed DIVx and now have the following icons on my desktop:
DIVx play, DIVx create, Buy DIVx create, DIVx converter, Divx movies, and DIVx player. Am I suppose to have all of those or am I missing something? I also DLed XP Codec Pack.
I don't know how to use anything that I downloaded. I don't know what I'm suppose to do after I've download it. Everyone just tells u "U need to DL this and it should help u". But not whatI'm actually suppose to do once I have the codec dled.
I thought I was getting somewhere and converting them but it told me that it did not encode the files because it is missing the MPEG1 audio codec. Now what does that mean? I thought that was what I downloaded.
I guess I don't understand WHY I have to go thru all of this just to put a movie to DVD. It's so easy for music. And why don't the movie you download come with the file needed to put it to disk??
I really need someone to take the time to walk me thru what to do and not send me to sites with the information. Because I'm just not getting it at all. I guess what I need is it all broken down in "Dummy" terms.
If someone would be so kind to help me and give me detailed instructions(step by step) on what I need to do to get this task done I would greatly appreciate it.
