Sony MDR-EX71SLB Fontopia Headphones
These are the headphones I personally use, and produce a very rich and bassy sound. The price is a little steep in comparison to, say, the iPod headphones.. but you get what you pay for ;-)

(^reviewed in comparison to iPod headphones^)
Sennheiser MX550
These are also a great pair of headphones with Dolby Pro Logic, which produces fantastic sound output. Near anything audible that is produced by Sennheiser is worth considering..

I have a set of the Entymotic ER-6i's. great speakers and excellent sound. The block out all of the external noise. I use them on planes a lot, as well as on my motorcycle. The 6i's are specifically designed for the iPods so if you get them make sure to get the ER-6i (vs. the ER-6).
a lot of my friends use them for riding and I was sceptical at first but now that I have them they are about the best thing I've gotten besides the iPod itself. :)

Lethal--
I'm LMAO when I see those Sony Fontopia Headphones. I puchased those same exact ones about 7 months ago for like $45 and the left side just stopped working out of nowhere.
It sucks soooo much, so I'm looking for replacements. Those ones that you posted are only $28, so it isn't at all steep in my eyes.

Sorry to hear that jazo.. they've been good to me though, as I've two pairs, one in black, & one in white, and I've nothing but positive feedback to give towards them..

Yeah, they have great quality sound, I think that I may have pulled the connection inside the headphone out on accident when taking them out of my pocket.

I've got these phillips ear buds that don't fit my ear for anything. the sound quality is good but they make my ears hurt. Anyone know a safe place online that I don't have to pay 15 bucks shipping for replacement earbuds (I want the ones that came with my iPod, I fell snowboarding once and one popped out and I smashed it between my helmet and a rail)
the ones I bought as a replacement

If you want the ones that came with your iPod, look at this link: http://depot.info.apple.com/ipod/ If you have the ones that broke than you can ship them to apple and they will send the new ones for free, not even shipping.
