My playstation seems to read games burned on DVD+R (and not booktyped to DVD-ROM) fine. Should I continue to burn games on DVD+R discs, or should I buy a pack of DVD-R? Are DVD+R discs bad for the laser?

If your PS2 reads DVD+Rs fine then they are definetly better to use than -Rs.

I'd stick with +R and booktype as DVD-ROM.
