finally got my back ups to work on my slim line using mr dvd dvdr 4x discs copied a back up onto a mr dvd 8x disc and it wont play and now my slimline wont read my swap magic disc? whats happened

DOnt use crappy Media,only use good media like Verbatims or Taiyo Yudens.

Is Swap Magic the only disc that wont read?If not then you could have damaged your laser with the crappy media.

Then try cleaning the SM disc and getting some better DVD-Rs.

i would go with a DVD-R 8X speed in most cases.
search the posts here as there are many,many,many threads on what we mean by "good media"
