hey guys. been a troller of this site for a little while, just reading assistance in burning and such. don't see any recient threads on something like this (if there is, i appologize) and with things like this changing so often, archives really won't help =P.

anyway, i'm looking at picking up my own DVD burner (been using my roomates... he's moving out) and wondering if anyone has any advice on what to pick up. I'll be looking for something that can successfully burn games as well, i'm constantly backing them up... and losing my backups. there's huge issues with sims 2 if i remember correctly and few burners can actually do it.

probably going to be picking up a PCMIA card and running this firewire, for i found a dual port card, so i'll use it to also work a external hd... if this matters at all.
