I love the show Deadwood and I've downloaded the first 2 seasons and i plan on Burning them to DVD's through Nero.

First i take the avi file and use VSO ConvertXtoDVD to turn it into the Video_TS and Audio_TS file thingy, and then i use Nero to burn dvd files to a dvd and take the VOB files and put them into nero then make a simple menu and done.

Now the first one i did that to on a Verbatim skipped early in the episode to the end of the episode. Then i just turned off the DVD player and turned it back on and played it over and it worked perfectly. So what i really want to know is if someone has a better way to do that with AVI files.

thanks in advance.
Mike

If you want the to be able to view the movies while played in a DVD player, the .AVI files need to be converted to a DVd compliant format as you have done. If the movie is skipping/freezing, the its possible you burned the files to disk at a fast write speed, or the DVD player might not like the disk format your using.

burn to disk at 4x-8x speed and no faster
read the player's manual and make sure it can play DVD+/-Rs or +/-RWs

A program that I like to use when converting .AVI files to DVD is called avi2dvd, I have an ISO image created and burned to disk using DVD decrypyter.

Give it a shot, all you need is here along with a guide;

Use Anydvd and believe

if you are having problems with the quailty of the downloaded file,you could just buy the disk and that would solve your problem right,and always rember when you are doing any conversion no multitasking, burn slow no faster thain 4x don't surf the net and make sure that you use good media, good luck
