Tomb Raider Legends On Version 9 PS2

I'm trying to backup my copy of Tomb Raider Legends to play on my version 9 PS2, I have read that other people have had trouble with this game and have just got a black screen when loading. They have suggested that this was due the make of the disk. Before I spend money on any disks I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions to which disks work best on a Version 9 PS2, I have read that Verbatim are a good quality disk but before I buy these can anyone suggest whether these disks will work on my PS2.

Any advice would be appreciated,

Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Philips, Maxell and Sony are all high quality media. Whether or not your V9 will like them is more of trial run that you will have to do. You might also have to figure out if it prefers +R or -R.

At most electronic stores, you can get a 5 pack of DVD's. I'd try that out before you start buying bundles....if that is an option you are willing to try; otherwise, your best bet would probably be TY or Verbatim 8X DVD-R.

yes verbatims are extremely good disks, but make sure you get the ones with the 'mcc' media id, verbatim 8x -r, also another great disk is the taiyo yuden 8x -r , these are the best ones but are deer, which ever ones u get make sure you get the -r ones as they are more compatible with ps2's and also get the 8x ones as these are the best ones and burn at 4x,
