Hey

umm i have a little issue with my speeds, as you can probably guess it is rediculoiuly slow, i have my configs all here:

I have cable internet access supposedly with a 1.5 mbs connection but after doing a speed test im getting 559 for dl, and68 for upl.

So i dont even know whats going on there, and my internet connection is lost every 5-10 mins for like 2 seconds, then reconnects, im thinking that could be the problem, but anyway back to my configs,

i have a hp pavilion mx703, with 480 ram, and 2.0 Ghz. windows XP service pack 2.

my speeds for bitcomet ususllly linger around the low 20's, sometimes 10's, and maybe 30's. Now twice today for like a 3-5 minute period i got speeds breaking 100. but idk i would leave, and come back in 5 mins and they would be around 20's again.

The file im download is Oblivion, i have around 3000 peers for that, with a mixture of remote, and local peers, primarrily remote though.

here are my "logs":

BitComet 0.63 is running on:
CPU : AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2800+ 2079 MHz
RAM size : 447.35 MB
OS Version: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 (Build 2600)

AND here are my "statistics":

I "*"ed hte IP's becuase i wasnt sure how safe it would be to publicaly dispaly them it prolly doesnt matter, but w/e.

some more info about hte settings in Bitcomet:
max download is 512 max upload is 15
max tasks 150
auto start 50
no proxy

ok now the settings "task" "appearence" and "chatting" i dont think ive really changed, but seems like they dont really affect ur speeds, ok so now here is where the settings are vital to ur speeds... under the "advanced" thing here it is:

under connection the first 4 check boxes are all check on exvept for "enable UpNp port mapping"
max connectiosn 5000
connectiosn to keep 5000
global max 5
global min 2
socket send auto
socket start 250
max half open 50
use NAT auto detect
protocal encrpytion auto detect

now under IP Rules the first two boxes are checked on, max sessions dl 5...max sessions upl 3

now for the disk chache: min 9 max 70 shrink if lower 50 and the last box is checked on

Umm so other things it might help to know, my ports are forwarded, if i did them right, AND im getting those remote things so it should be, umm and firewall isnt blocking it im pretty sure, and my 'half open ports' are at 50, i did the whole patch thing.

just a little note, my internet connecttion has been crappy the last two days, since ive been palying with my modem, router, nad IP configs, but before sunday it was a lot faster, and like i said before it dies every 5-10 mins for like 2 seconds, then its fine.

***so yea any help would be appreciated for anyone who can read thru all this and try and help me, thanks a lot***

I can't help you with your dl'ing probs but I can tell you that you won't even be able to run Oblivion on the absolute lowest settings with your current system.

Plus, you've just admitted to software piracy - I think that's frowned upon around here. cheers
