hey there guys i was wondering if anyone has tryed Maxell dvd-r's at 16x. i went into argos today and ordered maxell 8x dvd-r's got home to find the Bloke had given me 16x. i havent opened these yet so i can still take them back. but i was wondering if these are any good for ps2?

You'd be better off going back and getting the 8X. A lot of people have problems with freezing, stuttering, etc on 16X DVD's.

I have the 8x maxell's and those copies can give problems now and then. (freezing, etc)

I try to stick with +R sonys for hte moment till I get a spindle pack of verbatims or some shit.

Since I am new to this, I picked up some Maxell made in Japan DVD-r's and I got this when I used DVD Identifier(http://apr18.imghost.us/dqkver.png), are they good quality or bad? It is made by Hitachi.

they are listed as 1st class almost flawless, so you should be fine with those.
I have heard many people that use the Maxcell, but only when they are made in Japan
