Hello friends!

I have a few DVD's in which I have all my Home Video's. Now as there are quite a lot of DVD's scattered here and there having video's of 500 MB to 1 GB, I wanted to put in multiple video's in a single DVD so that it would be easier for me to manage. Therefore I copied all those DVD's to my HDD in the format they were in the DVD, i.e. in VOB format.

After that I needed to add a menu for all these video's. I tried Nero Recode and found it to be pretty simple when it comes to adding multiple video's and creating a menu. The only problem was in the last part where it writes to a DVD. I think it again encodes the whole movie and if this actually happens, I am sure to loose some quality of my Video's.

As I am not compressing any of my Video's nor am I adding more video's than what a DVD can accomodate, there is no logic of re-encoding the movie again.

Can anyone please tell me weather Nero Recode actually re-encodes the whole movie again even if it can easily fit in one DVD without any problem. If it does, is there a way to stop it? Moreover, if this cannot be stopped, is there any other good software that can help me to create menu's withour re-encoding my video's.

Please dont recommend me DVDLab as it is too complicated. I tried TMPG but it doesn't support subtitles. I need a software that can import VOB files and should support subtitles.
