Hey Everyone
I have my mobiles memory card and recently went to a friends house which the the same PC as me, On the front of my PC i have many memory slots and one of which my mobiles memory card fits into is the MMC/SD slot, on the 'my computer' display on my PC i have lots of diffrent removable disk drives, but when i insert my memory card the light on the front of my PC next to the slot turn on but when i try to open a removable drive it doesnt work, i tryed all of them but all of them say i need to insert a removable device.
An example would be my USB stick, when i insert it it asks me what i would like to do at the start and the removable drive 'K' shows up and i can enter it and move/work with my files.
But it isnt like that with my memory card, i insert it but theres no removable drive which shows up and none seem to work.
Could someone tell me if i need some sort of driver for this or if i am doing something wrong.
Thanks alot to anyone who can help me.
Please respond ASAP :) Thank You

This happened for me with my nokia 6230 memory card. I have lots of memory card slots as well, just like you.
Try to put the card in, but not all the way in. It sounds stupid but push it all the way in, and then slightly wiggle it backa bit. try to see if the autoplay thing comes up or anything loads, if not, wiggle it around more and back a bit etc.
It sounds really stupid but it happened to me, i guess i used it alot or i pushed it i the hard that i wore the back of the drive away or something, so it missed the detector things!!!
It may not work....but it worked for me!! The same cards as well.

If it's a normal phone MC it shudnt fit into any slots, you should need an adapter for it.

Well if you class a nokia 6230 as a "normal" phone then the mmc sd card in that fits into an mmc/sd slot....
THe latest phones have mini sd cards, and you need an adapter for that.
My card reader fits
"sd/mmc/sm/ms/ms-pro"
Thats my input.

If it uses a full size SD card (a 6630 and 6260 I think both use the mini kind) then it should slot straight in and work straight off, that's the whole point.

don't know how helpful this will be, but on a card reader i used to have (that fits into a computer drive bay) you had to insert the MMC card upside down
i.e. with the label facing downwards
some card readers are strange in that the LED lights up even though you put the card in the wrong way up
maybe you've already tried this
oh well

What im tring to say is that if its not picking it up at all as an external drive/removable disk then you should try to wiggle it around a bit.
I now have a 6280 whihc uses mini sd, and i have an adaptor which adapts it to normal size sd. When i put the normal sd card in, it needs adjusting and wiggling around a bit for the computer to pick it up.
When i put my mini sd in the adaptor and put that ib, it works first time because its very slightly bigger (im talking a milimetre here).
Well im just saying that might help, i had a problem similar to yours im not here to dispute it im here to say that it happened for me and how i resolved it.
