I know I need to update Nero but please look at my last completed burn log and let me know if you see something out of line... I noticed that my two hard drives have the DMA turned off and when I look them up under my device manager they fall under SCSI and RAID controllers under Nvidea nForce4 Serial ATA Raid Cobtroller. I looked under the settings to switch from the "let bios select transfer mode" to enable DMA but am only presented with two other options and one of them is PIO mode. There is no DMA mode available. Is this normal? Is my hard drive going to have anything to do with my slow burning problem in Nero? It used to burn so fast but now it just burns slow.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

This first version of Nero7 was buggy, I would recommend you uninstall it, run this clean tool to remove all traces
http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html

and then re install this version

These are horrible discs, I would try some Verbatim or Sony that are made in japan

Thanks Gwendolin for the help. I was still wondering about my hard drives having DMA off. Would this have anything to do with my slow burns with Nero and my plextor? About the discs, I have made so many burns with this type of disc and have never had a problem with it playing on any of my dvd players. I do use verbatim's when doing some double layer burning but the memorex brand seems to work fine for some single layer burning. Your input is greatly appreciated.

I guess that's why I'm a Newbie...thank you for all the insight! I actually thought I was using pretty good media compared to those big store brand named dvd spindles. I sure was wrong. I still wanted to know your opinion on my burned log and about my hard drives having the DMA turned off. Please let me know & thank you for all the info.
