I just put an AOPEN DVD+RW/+R Burner in my secondary machine. For whatever reason when I hook the burner up to the IDE it deactivates the other dvd drive and both hard drives that were already installd in the system. I've tried all possible master/slave combos to no avail. Any ideas?

Try another IDE cable if you got a spare, the device on the end is set to master, the middle is slave;

I assume your power supply is adequate?

Thanks for responding in such a timely manner. I appologize for not doing the same (exam week). I'm sure you will be ecstatic to know that after popping a spare IDE cable in, everything worked as planned. Thanks for the suggestion. I hate it when its this easy!
