friend bought ghost switch for his ps2 slim and swap magic.when he puts swap magic in it says insert larger toc disk. what is the problem ? and he says that he has to hold the back of the lid down to even get a disk to start . did he mess something up ? please help

The problem is that when the disk drive is open the ps2 can sense it being open. Your friend probably didn't install ghost switch properly, because the function of the ghost switch I believe is to prevent the ps2 for being able to sense that it's open. Try getting a flip top, the same problem used to happen to me, but now that I have a flip top it's smooth sailing. Now the problem with the lid I can't help you with.

That is normal, by that it means insert a large game (e.g GTA), the game must be larger than the backup you want to play, otherwise it wont work.

something is not right.
1. The game should load without having to hold the lid.
2. if it asks for a bigger TOC disc with Swap Magic it usually means the PS2 is resetting when you open the lid to swap for your back ups. which means the Ghost Switch could be installed wrong.

TOC stands for Table Of Contents, some discs have a bigger on than others.

thanks steimy . he said the cap that went over the sensor did not fit so he put tape on it .he messed something up ill bet ..hes driving me insane......lmfao

well in the end where the sensor was he broke it off so i had to soilder a small wire from one pin to the other .making it never see the lid was open.......ever again

so does it work cause i got like a flip top ghost case and my CD woun't spin at all and its annoying got any ideas.

if your ps2 is a new slim,ditch the case you bought and glue down both switches with supperglue.glue the one down in the front and the on the back.then put back on your origonal lid .and should work fine

But i have a Ghost Case and I can't figure out whats wrong i installed it right but the Disk woun't spin when i start it.
