Hi,
i just bought this game,the ultimate film quiz for ps2.
It's totally new. But when i play the game,you hear the ps2 spinning much louder then before and making much more noise.
When i checked the disc,it's a CD,so not a dvd,and it's blue.
Now i hear that if you ps2 can play blue games your ps2 it is in great condition,cuz they are the hardest to read for the ps2.the game plays perfect,but the noise it makes irritates me and i personally think it is because it's a blue disc.
Can anyone confirm this,especially persons with blue disc games,for instance CONTRA i think...

i ahve not played any CD based games. But those for the PS1 use to have a lot of blue nottom types.
And yes some PS2's have real trouble with them.

If it is a game where the PS2 constantly has to access info from the disc it will spin faster, and constantly so it will be a bit louder.

i had my ps2 for 5 years and it reads cd games like any other game.

hello
if me memory serves me correctly........

there was a problem some years ago with the older models of ps2's not reading the blue bottom disk's so well,i think this has changed now,and silver bottom's are used instead

personally i wouldnt use them,there were conflicting views over these disk's with the blue bottom's,whether or not they were actually damaging the laser remains to be proved...?
but sony changed them,so it must have had some truth in it

my advice is to copy it,or convert it to dvd disk

btw,in case you wanted to try and copy contra onto a dvd disk,it has lba checks on it,so it wont work
