If you're talking about the movie "The Last Waltz",by "The Band", yes you would because it's just a movie with music for a sound track & concert footage for the video track.
No, I am talking about the Audio DVD of "The Last Waltz" by The Band. I have already burned the movie DVD you are talking about. :)
The Audio DVD is 30 tracks of the music from the movie--I think. I haven't played it yet.
The back side states:
Quote:This disc plays 3 ways: Advanced Resolution Stereo, Adv. Res. 6-channel surround sound, DVD Video compatible dolby digital.
and further states:
Quote:PLAYBACK INFORMATION: This disc contains Advanced Resolution audio for both multichannel and stereo playback. A DVD-Audio player is required for Advanced Resolution Surround playback. DVD-Video Compatible Surround, Advanced Resolution Stereo, and all visual content are accessible on any player with a DVD logo.{/quote]Since it will not play on a conventional CD player, but will play on a DVD player, I assume it needs to be recorded to DVD media. Now I need to know what is required to make the backup.
Okay, I understand now. You may have better luck here. Maybe get a Moderator to move your thread would be the wisest choice. Soas not to double post. They hate that!!!
Thanks for the link! I had searched the forums for "Audio DVD" but totally missed the "High Resolution Audio" forum. I really appreciate it. I may be able to read what's there and get an answer to my question without having to ask--that's what usually happens. :)
In the event I need to have this thread moved, how do I go about finding the proper moderator to ask that it be moved?
Thanks again!
Scarlett
p.s. Sorry I messed up the HTML tags on my quoted material--but you figured it out. Too bad you can't preview and/or edit your post here!
