Nero burning rom question

Probably a stupid question but I have nero 6 and have just updated to version 6.6.1.4. I have not had many problems in the past burning but when reading bbmayo's excellent guide for burning I notice that he can access an icon that says 'nero burning rom' and get pop-up windows to initiate some burns. I can't see to see that icon or find it anywhere. I have tried nero start smart and nero express but still don't see that icon that will take me to the windows that bbmayo's guide shows. Is there a way to put a shortcut to the nero burning rom icon on my desktop?

Try click on the arrow on the left border at Nero StartSmart. It would show you the Nero programs that you have access to.

the Icon you are referring to is in your StartSmart Aplications.... it clearly says Nero Burning Rom....... in older Nero versions you could have made a copy of the shortcut that would have put the icon right on your desktop..... I'll try to find out if you can still do it......

Navigate to Program Files/Nero/Core inside that folder you will see the Icon for the Nero Burning Rom that you are looking for! Right click on it and send to desktop and there ya go!!! The icon is now on your desktop!

For some reason I cannot find the Nero rom burning anywhere is the updated version that I just downloaded. Not sure if it was in the oem version that i originally loaded. I saw when it was downloading all the Nero rom burning info but cannot find it anywhere. It is not listed on the left side in applications nor could I even find a Nero under programs that had Nero rom burning. There was somewhere that said if I hover the mouse pointer over the desired task in Nero that it will open a box that says 'open with' and to use the drop down menu and choose Nero burning rom but there is no drop down menu only has Nero express. Guess i will just have to do with Nero express. Is there any benefit in having Nero burning rom or should I just forget about it.

you're update didn't do it's job right! I would try the update again and see if you get Nero Burning Rom! I used to use Express exclusively..... I upgraded to 7 and I use both now!
