I/O Error on New Releases

The last two movies (new releases) I tried to backup using DVD Decrypt and DVDFab Express have both encountered the same I/O error after ripping approximately 15 minutes into the process. The I/O error appears using DVD Decrypt and DVDFab just gets stuck and continues trying without success at the same place as DVD Decrypt. Has there been new encryption released? I am using the latest version of DVDFab.

I/O errors can usually mean:
*the disc is dirty/scratched or a bad press
*decrypter can't handle the copy protection.
If you are using the latest dvdfab though it should be able to handle any new releases with the new copy protection. Last updated today to version 2.9.7.7.
Try cleaning off the disc and if you have another drive try that one.
What movies are giving your this problem?

The two movies were Aeon Flux and Hostel. Both of them reported the same I/O error using DVD Decrypt and got stuck using DVDFab Express.

Aeon Flux has nothing special on it - DVD Decrypter should easily handle.
Now Hostel does - ARccOS - which DVD Decrypter can't w/o help but DVDFab can.
The 2nd to last update of DVDFab was supposed to fix the issue of the prog just hanging and instead giving you an error message.

That version should do the trick for Hostel.
Aeon Flux again nothing special - try cleaning off the disc.

DVD FAB did the trick. Must of been a DVD problem the first time.
