"Corrupted DVD Source" using Instant Copy

With DVD Decrypter (Version 3.1.6.0), I copied a DVD to my hard drive. I used File mode and it created 7 files in the destination folder: video_ts.bup, video_ts.ifo, video_ts_1.vob, vts_01.0.bup, vts_01.0.ifo, vts_01_1.vob, vts_01_menu_1.vob. When I play the vts_01_1.vob file on WinDVD, it plays fine. When I try to create a copy of the DVD using Instant Copy, I select the video_ts.ifo file. Almost immediately, I get back an error message "Corrupted DVD source file." and it goes no further.

For grins, I copied the DVD from the original to a blank (DVD-R) using Instant Copy and the resulting DVD was fine (actually better than the original).

Anyone have any thoughts?

Hi. Well you're lucky. I used Instant Copy when I first got my DVD-R drive and not once would it burn a complete DVD blank disc. It was OK with CD's but then even that went and so I changed to Nero - a decision I have never regretted. In fact I don't know why Pioneer give out VOB software with their new drives - it's crap.

Well it aint crap to me and I've been using the same tools to backup my dvd's on my Pioneer 105 for ages now.
Dvd Decryptor, Dvd2one, and Instant Copy 7.01, and not once have I had a shit disk.
I use datawrite 4x, and I would swear by them, as they have been superb.
