Alright people, Newb here! :)

I recently purchased Swap Magic 3.6 and did all the things I needed to ensure it will work properly.

I then decided to make a back-up of one of my games to see if it works. The game I chose was The Godfather, I thought this would be a decent choice as it is one of the newer games.

I insert the Swap Magic disc, it loads up fine.

Then when I am at the Load Program and Video Mode screen, I use the slide tool to pop open the disc tray and insert my back-up. I then lock the tray, and I am pretty sure I locked it correctly because I felt it pop back shut.

I then press X and the screen either goes black is if it trying to load, and then doesn't do anything, or I will get the 'Not a Valid PS2 Disc' message.

I've tried this a few times, and it doesn't work.

I'm 99.9% sure I am doing everything right, as I tried booting up an original game using Swap Magic and it worked fine.

By the way, I have used Maxwell and a lesser brand of DVD so far.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

rebuild the iso.

look at the stickey'd tutorial on rebuilding for a guide.

my godfather screwed up with maxell DVD-R even after rebuilding.

but if you use decent media and rebuild it should work.

using maxell dvd-r :lol:

get some decent mdeia ... i reccommend verbatim as they have never given me a problem before.

Also i would advise to invest in a flip-top as using the slide card over and over again will get very annoying ... trust me !!!

I went out and bought a pack of 50 Verbatim, and they work a treat. :)

Cheers for the help, chaps.

Oakley, I know what you mean about the slide card mate. From all the tries I had last night my thumb is hurting today!
