DVD TO DIVX RIPPING PROBLEM

HI, HOW CAN I RIP A DVD MOVIE TO A SINGLE 700MB DIVX(AVI) FILE. I TRIED SOME SOFTWARES, BUT MOST OF THEM SPLIT THE MOVIE INTO 2 OR 3 FILES EACH 650MB.

I TRIED THE NEW ROXIO EMC 8. IT CONVERTS THE MOVIE INTO A SINGLE 700MB DIVX FILE, BUT THE LANGUAGE COMES OUT ALWAYS AS FRENCH, EVEN THOUGH I CHANGE IT TO ENGLISH. ANYONE, PLEASE HELP

Have you tried DVD Copy 4 (free trial) from Intervideo. I believe it has a single disk option.

Check out Slysoft AnyDVD and clone dvd here. Once you have the DVD ripped to your Hard drive in VOB format, you can use DR DivX, or whatever your prefered encoding software is, to encode the flick to DivX.

The languge problem you have is something that I do not have experience with though, maybe someone else can help you, perhaps one of our members from Quebec have run into this issue!! I am originally from Montreal, but now live in Ontario... All DVD rentals are default English here. ;-)
