Usually it pop up saying u want to play videos, or play your songs or anything like that. So i clicked My Computer and my drive thing wasnn't there. I look at my toolbar where my time is, and it showed it was connected so i don't know what to do? It like the drive disappeared or got delete or something.....

Try restarting your laptop that happened to me too many times and all I did was restart my computer.

Try connect a different USB device to your laptop, if it doesn't work then it means your laptop is probably damaged.

thanks for replaying. I got an USB wireless thing plugged in as well. In my laptop i got 3 USB plug unit (i forgot what it is called) i got my wireless connection in one, and my PSP in one. My wireless connection is working fine, so it can't be the laptop. But it can't be the USB plug i used because it works on my regular computer.

did you do a major update on your notebook recently?
Check in your C:/Windows/System32/Drivers/ folder do you see a file that says usbstor.sys?

Incorrect, It actually means your usb cord is probably shagged, and your laptop could be possibly damaged.
What kind of usb cord do you have?
One question.
If you restart your computer with your psp still in usb mode, does your computer boot no problem or does it get to a black screen while booting and says operating system detected, and then you have to remove it and press any key?

it sounds like its your cord..

this is also incorrect.
cords may work on one computer and may not work on others.
before i tell you to get a new cord, try taking your psp on your regular computer and backing up all your important stuff.
now reformat your stick through your psp and now see if it works.
if this still persues, i would recommend you buying another cord.
But get a decent good quality cord.

I used to have that same problem. What you do is go to Safely remove hardware(on the taskbar). The one you need to find is USB mass storage device. If you find it, click on it and click stop. If you don't I have no idea. If you did find it reconnect the usb cord. It will bring up the Found New Hardware box and it will install.
