well they can but i don't do that. For my mp3 player i got a cord for it. So i use that.....

How about trying this:
1. Right click on My Computer
2. Click on properties
3. Click on hardware and then device manager
4. Right click Universal Serial Bus controllers and click Scan for hardware changes.

another thing was i got that XP disc that I bought from Best Buy. I updated my Laptop but still no...does anyway have a way i can create a drive for my PSP or something ?

once again my friends...it a no...im serious getting mad. I been looking at google and yahoo about other people's PSPs drives disappearing and i came up w/ MioMediabox which wasn't any help. I click the PSP Drive from the program and it said it not founded...

well sounds like your last resort will probably be investing in a memory card reader. Im pretty sure sony has a media manager made for the psp. if that doesn't work you will be officially f**ked

i been reading that forum and thought it was the cable too but like i said i got three cables and all of them turn out no good...im determine to find an answer...i been searching all over the web from the morning and night. I checked for that file and i got it. I wished sony got a disc for the PSP so if i had this problem i just installed it. I am a newbie at this computer and PSP Sh** so i know all you guys out there who got more wisdom for the computer would help me with this problem.

i wonder what the problem is? i'm thinking maybe it something wrong w/ the cord, but i already got 3 and all them don't work. It like my PSP drve is blocked...i searched and someone said somethiing about VITUAL mapping and physical mapping. I don't know what that is but i don't that it either. please reply !!!!!! i rele need help

so when you start up the usb mode does your computer detect any changes or anything whatsoever?

Right click on my computer go to properties - hardware - device manager.
You might have to go throught the list to see if your device has shown up as something else.

i downloaded that program Trweak UL. I looked under My Computer, and Drives. All my drives other then the C and D got a question mark on it. What does that mean ?

earlier, mine wasnt working either. but when i used a different usb cord it worked fine, lol. so i say just buy a newer usb cord.
