I don't have that game, but have you tried rebuilding it? Also, what media are you using and at what speed did you burn it?

No i havent tried re-building it yet i was thinking of doing it after reading the other comments on this forum. I use Ritek 4x disks and burn them at 1x never seem to have problems apart from FIFA's.

Do you think rebuilding will work??

Rebuilding...wouldn't hurt to try it. Also, another thing you could try is upping your burn speed to 2X.

What's the size of the FIFA iso?

Its a massive 4.6 iso. I remember FIFA 06 doing the same thing and i got a patch from swapmagicfix.com and it worked fine thats why i was trying to find the same sort of patch.

Ill try rebuilding it and burn at 2x!!

Cheers mate :)

tried this method of rebuilding for fifa world cup and the it still gets stuck on 1st loading up screen(fifa wc logo). the only thing that i maybe did wrong was that the volume and disk name are the same(SLES_54061) should they be different as in this method the volume is 1_01. i am using swap magic 3.6 and v1 ps2 with tdk 1-8 DVD-R.
all of my other backups work with swap magic except this so maybe i'll have to wait for patch as idid with fifa street 2.

hmm ... i would say that the TDK maybe the Taiwan version and thats why it won't load right ... you need the ones from Japan for it to work and plus TDK have fake versions b/c they have different suppliers ... i would check out www.rima.com for Taiyo Yudden or Verbatim (verbatim works perfect for me and i haven't had a problem with FIFA)

do you use DVD-ROM(UDF/ISO) in nero and if so what are your settings in the udf and iso i.e(character set ,relax restrictions etc) tabs as i tried burning with nero and ps2 said "not a valid ps2 disk" after swapping with swap magic

this is the best tutorial i have found for burning with nero

http://www.ps2-gaming-zone.net/tutorials/bin_cue_nero_iso.htm

remember NOT to finalize the disc when burning an ISO ... thats what i did in the beginning and it did the same thing to me

just follow the instructions and the pictures EXACTLY and you will be playing your games in no time

hope that works ...

i dont believe it, after all the coasters i made trying to make a backup of this all i needed was a dvd+r 1-8 not dvd-r(i used verbatim). trust me this definately works.

rebuild iso using any of the methods mentioned in forums and burn with alcohol with dvd+r booktyped as dvd-rom(found in alcohol options)
it may work with better dvd-r disks but i used tdk with no luck(which is strange as i usually use these for other backups)so i brought some dvd+r verbatim and bingo

ps thanks for help b1grich

I ripped Fifa World Cup 2006 with DVD Decryptor, iso buster, cd.dvd rom generator, rebuilt with apache then burned...done works fine!
