My new Ms pro duo only register 647mb??

I just got a new MS pro duo a "SONY MSX-M2GS" when i us it in my PC (win xp) it only registers 647mb. and so will the PSP. and if I format it with my PSP it register over 1900MB (wich sound about right, then I put it in my pc Pro duo to ms adapter "SONY MSAC-M2" to my usb card reader and it wont recognize it and tells me that it need to be formated, registering 647mb again.

How ever if I formated with the psp and plug my USB to PSP it reads it fine registering over 1900mb. But My PS USB card reader (PC) read the original PSP 32mb stick. any help would be apreciated.

if you are using it for your psp, who cares? 1900+ is about right.

where did you purchase the stick from?Ebay?You have read the threads in regards to fake sony mem sticks on ebay right?

dont bother using the card reader. just use the USB mode on the psp to xfer files and stuff. i never really relied on card readers.

BUT the card reader... is it an old one? cauz with older firmware of the psp, the max it will read is 4gb on the psp. in contast to this situation, the card reader may old and not know of the 2gig mspd existance.
