I have close to the same post for ps2. 2 months ago I decided to learn to backup. It is not the monster people talk about. I read and tried the free stuff. Yes you can do a lot. It is fun to tinker with. But due to the senior members constant referal to anydvd, and clone2. I decided to purchase both. I've never looked back. I do use DVD Decrypeter, i think it was only once, but it was a severly neglected childs dvd, but it read it. Sometimes crunchy is the way to go. Word to the newbies, yes most members of AD are fond of anydvd. That is because it works, very well i might add. I have burned all of the problem titles that people report, "with the free tools," and not a single problem. Hopefully i can help a little in the future, right now I am still reading.

Glad you are having a fun and easy time backing up codydog. Keep up the good work.

I just wanted to add 1 more thing that is really the most important part of backing up.

Use good media!!!!!!!!

I was guilty of using cheap media for the longest time not listing to the senior members when they sugested use good quility media. I just got tired of having every other DVD skip, not play or some sort of trouble when using the cheap media.

I then ordered some TY's online and havent had problems since. They all work perfect plus they actully work in DVD stand alone players perfect where the cheaper disc would skip or not play at all.

Price wise I found that I only have to spend $10 extra for the better media. Defently worth the extra money (which isnt much more) for easier and perfect DVD backups.
