I have 1 stick of DDR Ram in my machine. It says:

Module Size: 256MB
Max Bandwidth: PC2300 (142MHz)
Manufacturer: Kingston

Now im looking to buy two 1GB sticks for my computer, but when I called the store they asked me if I need 400. What does that mean???

How do you I know exactly what type/kind of RAM I need??

by 400 i think they meant 400mhz which i believe is pc3200, according to intel that motherboard can only handle up to 333 which i think is pc2700, look here,

http://www.intel.com/products/motherboard/d845gvsr/index.htm

hopefully someone that knows what there talking about can give you more info, i'm missing to many braincells to be reliable.

1 More question actually.

On here
http://www.intel.com/products/motherboard/d845gvsr/index.htm

It says: Memory - Two 184-pin DDR SDRAM DIMM sockets
Support for single-sided or double-sided DIMMs (DDR 333/266/200)
Support for up to 2 GB system memory.

Does that mean I can use DDR or SDRAM?? I can buy either one?
