I'm having some odd codec issues, is it at all possible for me to wipe my pc of ALL video codecs? and start fresh??

When I try to play some AVI's it tells me that its trying to decode using AVI splitter or some mess, even though i've long since deleted this app.

I'm using Gspot to check and see what codec's its using to decode, and before it goes through anything, it goes through AVISplitter first...

so if anyone can guide me to program, or a tutorial on how to clear all my vid. codecs and start anew, I'd be very happy.

thanks in advance guys.

All containers require a splitter before encoding. So in other words your graph is supposed to contain an AVI splitter for AVI files. If you are using a 3rd party one and want to switch back to the default windows one, then re-register quartz.ax (or was it quartz.dll?).
