So I downloaded the shu mod fo Azureus, but I have no idea how to work it, it's not an exe or an iso so I wouldn't have a clue!
The only thing I could think I'm supposed to do is copy/paste over the files in the unmodded Azureus I'm running now.
Is there a guide somewhere or somethin that could help me?
Apologies if this is a banned topic, please delete if I have broken any rules, though I couldn't see any rules that prohibits this topic.
P.S The reason i need to use the shu mod is because I only have a max upload of 25kbps, I seed whatever I download till the torrent is removed from whatever site it's from (I use torrentleech and bitsoup) but it hardly ever uploads cause of the 1,000,000MB connection upload piggies (I know we need people with good connections but it makes it hard for those of us who can only get a maximum speed of 1500/256 from our available ISPs). I am definitely playing my part and abiding by the rules of torrent sharing, but
I have to get my ratio up or it's back to public trackers *shudder*.
I'm literally uploading 25 torrents right now and none of them are moving, which means my ratio isn't moving either.
Any help will be much appreciated.

You deserve to go back to public trackers, private trackers are finding cheaters everyday and BANNING them. You will be discovered.

I *am* doing the right thing.
Did you read what I said? I seed EVERYTHING I download from private trackers until the torrent is removed from the site itself. I'm not doin hit and run, I do all that's in my power to return what I take.
Problem is there are so many seeders on private trackers with massive upload speeds that we people with a low upload speed really struggle to get our ratios up. I SEED EVERYTHING (repeating that cause I don't think you get the point), but when there's no one to download what you're seeding or there is a sufficient amount of seeders, it's impossible to upload, you're ratio steadily declines and there's not a damn thing you can do about it EXCEPT fake some uploads to keep your ratio up and not get banned.
What other alternative do I have? I seed everything for weeks at a time and they hardly ever move, it's not like I'm not playing my part with sharing, I keep every torrent I have uploading 24/7 until my ratio for that file is at at least 1.5 or the torrent has been removed OR as long as there are peers that are relying on me as a seeder.
What it comes down to is this: Private trackers are never short of seeders and what I do won't affect anyone, if I download something and seed it for 3 weeks and it doesn't move, it really doesn't matter because I did the right thing by trying to seed and that file obviously had enough seeders to give the downloaders 100% of their max download speed.
I'm playing the game properly, it's just a bitc* that I can't get my ratio up cause of upload piggies that will seed on their high speed connection till their ratio is 200% 0r 300%, making it very hard for the rest of us to even keep our ratios at 100%.
I'm not a cheater - 'To deprive by trickery'. I'm not depriving anyone of anything, all my downloads are offered back but I can't help it if no one needs me to contribute to their download.
And just curious, what speed is your connection?

NO, i don't think you are getting my point here.
No matter why you cheat, if you're gonna do it your still depriving the community of it's uploads, one way or another.

My max upload is 78kbs.
I am still able to keep good ratio's on private sites,
Maybe you should consider Throttling your download speed,
to be more 'in line' with your upload speed.
But 'cheating' is every essence of the word is frowned upon here.
No one is going to approve or help you 'cheat' on provate trackers,
If your worried about your upload bieng too slow here is the
best advice I can give.
1) Choose torrents that have more leechers than seeds.
(if they are no leechers WHO are you going to upload too?)
2) Cut down your download speed on EACH torrent to match your upload speed.
(I normally set my DL speed tp 60kbs MAX to stay below,
my maximum upload speed.)
This way your ratio will always be in good status.

The private sites I'm at almost never have more leechers than seeders. And I must say 'duh', of course I was looking for torrents with a higher leecher to seeder ratio.
Yes, if there are no leechers, how can you upload? Another factor that makes it hard to increase your ratio.

Yeah, but, dude......the whole idea of a private tracker is to get max download speeds. I really don't mind seeding at my max up of 25kbps till I get above 1:1, I want the file quickly but it doesn't worry me how long it takes to give it back. The problem is, that you all seem to be missing, is that how can you get your ratio up if all the files you have downloaded have a: lowered your ratio to danger point and b: you can't upload them because there's a sufficient amount of uploaders that continue to seed until the torrent is removed.
I am not saying I shouldn't upload at all, if you think that you need to pay closer attention to what I'm saying.
I'll try and explain nice and simple.
You download a torrent that's 3GB. It lowers your ratio to the point where you get a pm informing you that you have to get your ratio up or be banned.
So I seed this torrent for a month and the most I manage to upload is about 200MB because, quite simply, there were people seeding with much higher up speeds, hence giving them priority, hence leaving my seeding torrent at a stand still. THEN, the torrent is removed and NO ONE can upload it anymore.
Now put two and two together, where does that leave you? With a ratio that will get you banned if you download anything else until you get your ratio up, but you can't because you need a torrent to serve as a seed in order to get your ratio back up, which you can't get because if you download anything else you will be BANNED.

I didn't hear you say it but I can certainly smell the bullsh*t dripping outta your mouth, sunshine.
NO, I'm not saying I shouldn't have to upload at all, shi* man can you read? Don't know how many times I've said it but I seed EVERYTHING till the torrent doesn't exist, or in the rare case that people leech from me I seed it till it's 1.5:1, giving back more than I take.
And BTW, where I am the highest speed connection available is 1500/256, I have no choice. If I were on a 24mb there wouldn't be a problem, but there's not much I can do about that now is there?
I just found some other forums where they understand this problematic concept on private trackers and no one has a drama with doing what I want to do.
Hence, this discussion is over, this topic is obviously frowned upon here so I won't persue it any further. You don't approve of it and I don't approve of your opinion on the matter so screw it, case closed.
Besides, I might possibly have figured it for myself already.
