I was just trying to learn how to edit a video in the Adobe Premiere trial, and my comp just froze (it does this quite often, 1-3 times daily, iono why - Just randomly, seems to do it more when i play Ragnarok Online) and normally i'd have to reset the comp with the small button on the front of my computer. Oh yeha it like loops the sound that was being played at the time of the freeze really fast. (EG: Sound is saying hello, and it freezes and plays llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll basically.) but i didnt have any sound playing at the time of this freeze, what was wierd about this time tho is it reset itself. Then it never booted up. I thought it was just the monitor since its old, and it was at a black screen, but the comp itself isnt booting because when i turned it off with the button on the comp it turned off instantly instead of shutting down windows, etc. I've tried unplugging and waiting 10 mins, etc tried resetting a few times, and i cant find out whats wrong with it. Any ideas?

Take the side cover off...are there any fans turning when the power is turned on? Do you hear any beeps coming from the motherboards speaker after pressing the power button? Also you may want to ask a moderator to move this to the PC Hardware thread as I believe your problem is hardware related.

Sorry for wrong category :(, and yes the fans work fine, and i dont have one of those things that beeps installed. I didnt put it in in the first place since it was held up by magnet and i wanted to be safe, and it had a cord torn off anyways.

Alright,Check all internal connections (remove and re-seat the plugs)Try this first
If no success lets try this...unplug your hard drive(s)cd and or dvd rom drives and floppy if you have one. Then if you have more then one stick of ram remove all but one then try to get the computer to post,if that fails remove that stick and try the next, continue doing so until you have tried them all(one at a time). If it posts then you have a bad stick.
Do you have another video card you could try? Maybe a friend who can loan you one?
This could be time consuming but you must eliminate the possable causes one by one.Take your time and post your findings.
Good Luck.

Yes that is posting. Why? Is yours getting that far?

I think it stands for power on self test or something like that.

lol, yeah that makes since..Well i unplugged everything except the front panel wires since i allways have a hard time getting em on right... Only plugged back in the HD, 1 stick of RAM, CPU, etc... Also when the comp is off monitor has yellow LED, but when it comes on after a few secs it auto turns on. Is that a good sign that the GFX Card still might work?

Btw, i've tried 2 different sticks of RAM in different slots and its not helping. I'm pretty sure its in the HD...A friend said i might have had a headcrash, he said its where the thing in the HD falls out of place/comes unscrewed and tears a hole in the HD thingy.. If that happened ima be pissed off. >.<

Yeah,I know the feeling,I'll keep thinking on it or maybe someone with some fresh ideas will stop by and lend a hand. My old brain is taking a beating today...but it aint dead yet!

You know the worst part is that it's probably something minor that I've overlooked.
