im usuing nero 7 for burning audio files at the centre of the diks there is a blank gap

Can you give us a little more info. What format are your files, which version of Nero7 are you using....something like 7.0.8.2 and what brand of discs are you using and burn speed.

the disks im using are tdk
the version of Nero is 7 premium
my music files are downloaded mp3s

You are using Nero7 premium, however which VERSION are you using..(.as an example are you using 7.0.8.2 or 7.0.1.4 or whatever.) and your burn speed.

where on Nero would i find the version

You are burning way too fast, I suggest you slow to 24X or even 16X...it DOES make a LOT of difference.

OK that version has been updated again to 7.2.0.3b, it had a few bugs, update should fix it for you...remember..slow your burn!!

my partner tried to download Nero 7.2.0.3b but once it finished it was corrupt it took him about 6 hours to download it

That is unusual, if you have a legitimate serial number and are downloading from the official Nero site then you should NOT have a problem.
What I would suggest is that you uninstall your version, run this clean tool
http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html

and then try for a fresh install
