Hi guys,

think i need your help.

I transfered an iso with hdl dumb to my hd - after 110 min of transfering (!!) - max. speed 0,7 mbit/s - i checked if the game was on the hd with hd advance 2.0 and 3.0 .

Both programs say that the hd is completely empty and that there are no games.

I had 40 games on that hd !
Tried to reconnect to the hd with hdl dumb - won't work.
Can sb tell me why i can't see my games anymore ?
Or did hdl dumb format my hd ????? Anybody any experience ?
By the way - this was my first transfer to the hd via ethernet.

Thanx in advance for your help.

You have to use the official format utility to format the harddrive before you start using it. Also, what v.slow speeds! You should have a LAN set up with a crossover cable or something because those speeds are very slow.

Hey Mike,
the drive was already formatted. I just never ftp files to the drive, i converted them via hd advance.

So the hd was corectly formatted and working with 40+ games on it.

Now that i ftp'd the first time - that shit happened.
The weird thing is that
(1) hd advance still recognizes the hd but just doesn't show any games
(2) hd advance shows a EMPTY size of 152 gig (the drive is 200 gig) - BUT 152 gig was exactly the size of the used space before (all games combined on the drive) - thats why i somehow hope the games are still on the drive

Talking about the LAN settings when transfering - i connected it to my router which should have the same speed as a crossover cable - and with hdl dumb u can't increase the speed - the manual says it starts slow and then gets faster but it never did

Anybody ?

Mike

Yeah,

they worked perfectly before.

And the iso i "transfered" was one, too. Otherwise hdl dumb wouldn't have done a thing..... ;(
