Hi guys im a real nubie to this so please bare with me,i got broadband last week and as some of you know it opens up a whole new world but there is so much out there its hard to know what to use so i done a lot of reading and decided to try bittorrent but like a lot of other people i am getting about 20kbs max. from this site i read it might be a port problem i tried a search for the zyxel 600 series router but for some reason there is not much info on them.So if anyone out there can help me that would be great because its driving me mad i have the router plugged into the main pc and am also running a laptop on the wireless.Laptop speed 54mbps most of the time.a guide to setting the router to speed things up would be a gift and i might actually get to download a movie or two.Big thanks but please remember i only have broadband a week or so and calling myself a newbie is an overstatement to say the least..

Ok, here are two guides on how to forward ports on your router.

If your bittorrent client is BitComet, then look here - http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/ZyXEL/...

If your bittorrent client is Azereus, then look here - http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/ZyXEL/...

If it is none of the abovw, then please choose your client from a list here - http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/ZyXEL/...

If will give you a guide on how to port forward to your router for that program :) Let us know how you get on.

Did you have a look at those guides? Make sure you choose the guide for your BitTorrent client and it will show you how to access the client's ports.
