@tiska
Welcome to aD!
To try and help you with this post back the make, model and firmware version of the drive your are burning with and the brand of discs you are using.
To get the make, model and firmware in Nero go to ToolKit>InfoTool. The drive will be listed and on the drive tab there is a field for the firmware version.

In addition to what Binkie has stated...

Are you using Recode? If so look at your compression ratio, it it is 75% or below you will want to use advanced analysis and slow burning options. Also make sure that your target size is set to 4300 to avoid burning too close to the edge of the disc.

Okay now all we need is the make & model of the drive (this will be listed at the top right under 'nero InfoTool') and the brand of discs you are using. When you say dvd-rip do you mean a video/movie that's on your hard drive or are you copying from a another disc?

Hi tiska
The drive your burning with is the NEC - looks like it has the original firmware. The latest version is 1.0C. Here's a link:
http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1517
The discs your using can be made by 3 different manufacturers - one iffy the other 2 okay.
Update the firmware and see if that's helps the playback problem.
Have you tried playing the disc back in the pc? Any problems there?
Let us know how it turns out!

@tiska

I have a NEC 1300a and the fw binkie gave you is correct, if you are running on 1.05 that is original fw and your burner will not recognize newer media.

LOL - hopefully you're a guy cause otherwise some areas frown upon that kinda of thing :0)

Glad we could help - sometimes it's just a fairly easy update that can resolve the problem.
Happy Burning!
