Unstable Results when burning DVD and Transcoding Questions....

I'm burning a large DVD using Nero 6 and the option of a double layer DVD what holds 8.5GB. When I want to burn the DVD, this warning pops up "Recording this project may be unsuccessful and could produce unstable results. Do you want to continue?" What might happen to my computer?

I have actually burned the project twice after clicking yes to the warning. One time it didn't burn at all.

It takes 3.5 hours to transcode and burn the DVD. Is there an way that I can do this faster? I have saved the project, but it always goes back to the beginning and starts transcoding.

Some versions of Nero6 contains a few bugs, do you know which version you are using.

Nero version 6.6.1.4 contained some bugs, I would suggest you uninstall this version, run this clean tool to remove all traces
http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/Clean_Tools.html

and then install this slightly older bug free version
http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe

Remember to keep your serial number.

3.5 hrs to transcode is a long time, dont multitask and turn off any unnecessary programs INCLUDING spyware.
