PhotoSnap-All my edit tools have disappeared!

My system is XP.I've had Nero6 without probs for 6 months then today the core editing functions of the PhotoSnap program just disappeared.There was no warning of any kind and the remaining components of the suite appear to be working fine.

The only thing I did today that may have influenced events was to install a neat little icon program called "Perfect Icon" however I am at a loss to understand why this might be so.

This is my first post but I searched the forum in advance for entries under "photosnap","tool" and "edit" without success.Would any of my fellow forum members have come across this perplexing problem before?
