i just made a rip of one of my dvd's using ImTOO and the movie is 1h 37m long and the file i got is 900mb , how do i get a 700mb file to fit it on a CD ,is it because of the program , that its 900mb ? any help appreciated or suggestions thx.

Try using a different program like AutoGK
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/auto...

Gets me the right size every time. Or follow one of the guides under the DivX and XviD section.

Imtoo DVD ripper (platinum) can let you set size you'd like to rip so that you fit the output file to CD-R.
Have a look at the setting options.

i do have imtoo platinum but i dont seem to find that option if you could guide me through it id appreciate it. thx
