I recently did a system restore on my computer. But Before That i used Bitcomet for about 4 or 6 months. I ussually got about 50-100 kb/s download rate a torrent. but now when i load it up it says cant listen to port:14747 press ok. Right? Now i go to prefrences to change the listening port. i click random port and it chooses one. Then i click ok to save the changes and the ok button gets stuck indented and the hourglass thing pops up and the window freezes and i have no idea what to do. So now i try azureus. Everything goes well exept i only get about 2-5 kb/s per torrent if it is even going at all. Sumtimes it will just say 0kb/s and i get no where. If you have any advice or have had this problem before please post back and tell me how to fix it. Thank You


P.S. No Other Torrent Program Will Work On My Computer For Some Stupid Reason Just To Tell you A Head Of Time!!

You could try uninstalling BitComet but most trackers don't allow that client anymore. They have banned BitComet, BitLord and BitSpirit. Try using uTorrent, it is much easier than Azuerus to set up and I've uploaded over 2TB of data with uTorrent. It's a good client.

The speed problem in Azureus is likely a setting problem. There are other threads on here about setting up Azureus.

Yeah I already uninstalled and installed it about 5 or 6 times but i guess since it is banned i wont use it. But with utorrent i install it and then i double click on it and nothing happens then i double click on it again and this box pops up saying that utorrent is already running, and to stop all utorrent processes and open again. so i go to stop the processes and it just stays there it wot go off the processes thing. so i dont know what to do?? please help!!

You might have something conflicting with it. It's a single file so try shutting down and re-starting then try to open the program. If you have a firewall (i.e. Windows firewall, McAfee, etc.) you may want to add utorrent.exe to your exclusion list of approved executibles.
