impossible dvds to rip

Hi,

I've been trying to rip a couple og original dvd movies, I tried to rip with dvdshrink and dvddecrypt and mac the ripper, and also tried encoding using vdub and on a mac using ffmpegx and fcp. The dvd plays fine as a whole but no matter how I handle or extract the vobs or rip to divx or xvid I keep getting jumpy playback, i.e. the seconds go like this: 1,2,3,4,4,5,6,6,6,7,8,9,9,9,10 since the dvd plays fine using its menus and it happens on more than one disc and since i get the repeats at different areas everytime I rip I think its not caused by a bad disc. I used 3 different drives, 2 on pc and one mac, still I get the same result. I've been searching everywhere but cant seem to find anyone that had a simmilar problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Maybe this disk is protected.
Different region has different css protected.
Try DVD Region+CSS Free.

did you try to rip with DVDFABDecrypter.

maybe you have a damaged dvd??? try any dvd it has a free trial period. i think its tops.

im using tuff disc 16x before i was using tuff disc 8x (burning at about 12x on the 8 and 16x on the 16,s. i have a pioneer108 now an A108 .

never heard of the stuff sounds like crap media!!!

what you need to do is use good media like TY's and Verbs and burn
at 4x,and i'll bet you have better results.

hey guys, thanks for all the responses,

I know for sure its not a region problem, and it had nuthin to do with burning or media since im only ripping, after I read this post I tried DVDFABDecrypter but still same jumpy result(it plays fine in dvd players, but I cant edit vobs or even view them in an editing system. this is pretty weird no one I know knows what to make of it.
