hello everone,
i am new to this site and new to burning backup
for my ps2 i just made a backup copy of my ps2
game Prince of persia the two thrones and it is
frezzing up on me not when i play the game but
when it is showing the movie clips of the game
thats when it frezzes up i am useing dvd+r and -
philips and sony dvd and i am useing these tools
to make my ps2 backups

Dvd Decrypter
ISO Buster
CD/DVD ROM Gen
Apache2

can anyone help me out in what could be happening

have you tried just using DVD Decrypter with out all the other stuff?
Mode->ISO-Read
Mode->ISO->Write
you only need all those others if you are rebuilding the ISO.
If someone knows for sure that the game DOES need rebuilding please post. I have not used Swap Magic in a while so none of mine need rebuilding.
And personally i like the Philips 8X DVD-R myself.

Try using DVD-R's and burning as slow as you can go.

I had problems with burning this game on TY DVD-R at 4x, so I used DVD+R at 2x and presto. may want to give it a try

hi,(steimy)
i have tryed to just use dvddecryter when makeing
my iso but when i did it like that the game would
frezzes up even more then when i tryed makeing it
with these tools the game freezes up less for me
and this is happening with ever game i have try to
backup so far always freezing and its when the games
movies clips come out not when i am playing the game
can it be that i am use dvd with the purple bottom
that is makeing the game freezes up and also i am
useing philips dvd+r and sony dvd-r are these any
good for backup games and i also wanted to add that
i am useing swap magic 3 plus v3.6 to play my backups
not a mod chip

it could be the media for sure. Mine do great with Philips DVD-R but not good at all with the Philips DVD+R

Do you know if your burner has the ability to booktype?
open DVD Decrypter, load the file and then click on the little icon that looks like a little book. i think it is over where the speed setting is, then look at the tabs and see if the maker of your burner is there. If so click on that tab and see if your burner is listed. Switch it from DVD+R to burn as DVD-Rom.
you can also do this with Nero. But it all depends on if your burner can support it. My older Sony could not but the new BenQ i bought does.

Yes its definately a case of the media bug, I own the original and a while back I backed it up and it plays perfectly with Swap magic.

So no rebuilding here.

i just took a look at the link for the booktype
were it explains how to use it but the thing is
that i did not see anything that explains how to
chcek to see if my burner is listed when i open
my dvddecryter and click on booktpye there is 8
tabs there but i dont know if any of them is for
my burner sorry i ask but can you explain to me
on how to check if any of these 8 tabs that i am
seeing are for my dvd burner i also wanted to add
i dont know way but i just tryed to play the game
and it was wroking fine it was not freezing up at
all what can this be if it was frezzing up befor
how can it not be freezing up now i dont even want
to turn off the ps2 just in caes it goes back to
freezing up
